Original Painting - Mixed Media on Paper - 508x406 mm - Unframed

This painting was created at a challenging emotional time for me. It means to encapsulate all the transparent stings with which people around you try to control you like a puppet and lead you to the path they think it right for you. For me there is anger, pain and quiet desperation within this canvas. It started as a scary ghostly figure which later settled in a more contained form of inner suffering. The figure is standing on the edge of a wall in the midst of a blood-red ocean. The sky is dark but the soul slowly dissolves into the star bodies above. 

As with any other of my paintings I would like to think each one of you will read and experience it in their own way.
