Reverse (Back): Showcases one of the River God heads from the Custom House in Dublin, specifically representing the River Liffey. Overlaid is the famous opening sentence of Joyce's Finnegans Wake: "riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs."

Signatories: Features the signatures of Maurice O'Connell (Governor) and Paddy Mullarkey (Secretary of the Department of Finance).
