Presenting a lovely example from Torsti Laine's "Gelidus 2" series from Laine Watches of La Chaux-de-Fonds. The frosted dial features a granular texture which is achieved through a meticulous chemical treatment, resulting in a shimmering surface that plays with the light. The Breguet numerals were crafted in-house and applied by hand. Atop the dial lie blued alpha-shaped hands together with a seconds hand contained in the subdial.

Turning the watch over you are greeted with Torsti's skilled hand-finishing work. Beautifully decorated bridges plated with a yellow gold color serve as an amazing contrast to the solarized crown wheel and double solarized ratchet wheel. I personally love the shapes chosen of the directionally brushed balance and escape cocks which are fastened by large screws which were black polished. The manually wound movement beats at 2.5Hz and delivers an approximate power reserve of 48 hours.

The Stainless Steel case measures 40.5mm x 11mm x 49.3mm and is in excellent condition. Furnished on an OEM Navy Alligator strap with signed pin buckle. Complete with Box and Papers dated January 2021.
