I have a hard time resisting old ship drawings, but what especially sold me on these is that they were done on old used ledger paper, with the header on one of them being Boston, Sept. 1895 (and including what appear to be fairly substantial assets.) As Boston had been quite a hub of clipper ship design and building, I'd like to think whoever drew these had a personal connection, or at least observed these beauties on the sea, first hand. I don't know, but think they're lovely regardless.

Sold as a pair. It appears that a second ship drawing was likely intended for the smaller of the two, with two pencil drawn frames. Both are in very good shape, clear and crisp. 

Larger ship: paper size is 9 x 7 1/2"; drawing is 6 3/4" x 5 5/16".

Smaller ship: paper size 8" x 10. Drawing: 5 5/16" x 3 5/8". This is the one which notes Boston and the date on the top of ledger page on reverse.
