OPC (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins) is a class of flavanols that is commonly found in fruits, notably in grape skins, red wines, and cocoa. Flavanols are a naturally occurring antioxidant that is critical in helping the body eliminate free radicals. Proanthocyanidins, OPCs and catechins are the same class of flavanols, but due to their differences they exhibit different antioxidant activity. Green tea contains a good source of catechins, usually in the form of EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which is a well-known strong antioxidant.

Bilberry contains proanthocyanidins, which have a different type of antioxidant compared to OPCs.
