2009 sophomore release from one of the best UK Black Metal bands to emerge over the past few years. Formed in 2000, their goal was to create nihilistic and Progressive Black Metal, and with World Suicide Machine, they've really fine-tuned their unique and original sound.

The album showcases the intensity, coldness and brutality as a Black Metal album should do, but it also has an original sound with great songs eerie riffs and strange atmospheres. There are also hints of old-school Thrash in there. The tracks are varied, both in pace and feeling. Skaldic Curse takes inspiration from different bands like Mayhem, Voivod, Darkthrone and Rush, and manages to create their own unique and original style. Dark Essence.
